When Plays, Books and Films Come Together

August Wilson’s play Fences comes to us in digital form DB33614 or as a digital download title in BARD. In addition, the newly released film Fences is directed by Denzel Washington who plays one of the primary character’s Troy Maxson. Rhode Island’s own Viola Davis plays his wife Rose. Before ordering or downloading the title, listen to National Public Radio’s commentary about the film. Note, the NPR critic first discusses Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly. I’ll discuss her book and film in a future posting when Talking Books Plus has it available as a digital title.
