Tactile Learning Activities and Braille
By Alicia Waters | October 11, 2012
The Professional Development and Reserach Institute on Blindness has a website about Braille activities for children. They say that the tactile learning activities and braille are targeted for the very young. However, older children who have cognitive delays may benefit as well. NLS Consultant, MaryBeth Wise says these activities may be useful in developing pre-reading programs and activities in libraries. Teachers and School Librarians are encouraged to look at the site as well.
