USB Flash Drives and Battery Life
By Alicia Waters | October 23, 2012
Recently at the national level, there has been talk about the amount of battery life that exists when an USB flash drive is connected to the side AT port of the NLS digital player. The USB flash drive suspension problem that members were experiencing was corrected back in late 2011. The correction meant all conventional USB flash drives can now be used to play books on the NLS digital players. However, the correction also caused higher power consumption which in turn caused a 30 percent reduction in available battery play time or a maximum of 19 to 20 hours of battery charge when using a USB flash drive.
