By Alicia Waters | November 13, 2012
Pick up a free telephone from ATEL at the 2012 ATAP Assistive Technology Conference. The conference will be held November 29, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island.
At this year’s conference, one of the ATAP partners, the Adaptive Telephone Equipment (ATEL) Program will be providing Free State telephones to qualified RI residents.
A large percentage of people with disabilities are living on their own, and their main difficulty is being able to communicate with friends, family and most importantly, being able to get help in case of an emergency. If you know of a person with disabilities, that could benefit from the ATEL program, please call 421-7005 X357 to sign up, and then bring their completed application and certificate of disability form with you to the conference and you can pick up a Free State telephone at the ATEL Program table. Also, feel free to visit the ATEL website .
