Black History Month books
By Alicia Waters | February 13, 2013
In February, Black History Month is celebrated to recognize the accomplishments of black Americans. Talking Books Plus/OLIS, the Rhode Island network library of the National Library Services for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, has many books on the topics of African Americans, Civil Rights, and Slavery. Booker T. Washington is the topic of several books as well. The Talking Books Plus online catalog lists 1,000 titles that can be found by searching the keyword, African American. To find those in digital format, limit the search under Media to Digital Book.
