Not Getting TBP Books

Recently, several Talking Books Plus members have been asking why they haven’t been getting books through the US Mail. US Mail delivery to and from Talking Books Plus members may affect how many and how often books are sent to members. In the interest of all members, some information and advice is given below.
All members are asked after putting books in the mail to please wait 2 weeks before questioning a book return. The same rule applies to books sent to members. It has been learned recently that some members have waited up to 2 weeks for a book to be delivered through the US Postal Service. It is plausbile that a member is not getting books because until enough books are returned and checked in, members don’t get more books. Members can have up to 8 digital talking books at one time; This count includes any digital talking books enroute through US Mail and not checked in at the library. The exception to this rule is downloading digital talking books through BARD. There is not limit as to how many titles a member can download.
