Requesting Currency Reader
By Alicia Waters | September 26, 2014
Current National Library Services for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS) patrons in Rhode Island requesting a currency reader may sign up through Talking Books Plus (TBP) by calling us at (401) 574-9310. TBP members are NLS patrons residing in Rhode Island.
If a person residing in Rhode Island is not a TBP member and is eligible for the service, he/she should complete an application for TBP membership. After validation of the application, the new member may request to be put on the waiting list for the iBill currency reader. If an individual is not eligible for TBP/NLS service, he /she should call the BEP (Bureau of Engraving and Printing) US Currency Reader Program Customer Support Center at (844) 815-9388 or the Library of Congress iBill Project Coordinator, Charles Rogan at (202) 707-9297.
