Honoring Black History Month with TBP Books and WGBH Programs

In our continuation of honoring Black History Month, we have more books to recommend and WGBH programs honoring the month as well.

From WGBH programing honoring Black History Month:
“And Still I Rise” – a film honoring Maya Angelou to air on American Masters, Tuesday 2/21/17 at 8:00pm on WGBH 2.
“Grand Africa” – “Africa’s Great Civilizations” as explored by Henry Louis Gates, Monday 2/27/17 at 9:00pm on WGBH 2
Basic Black will continue to explore new topics on Black perspectives throughout the month of February
